Intimate Loop Boudoir: Meet The Team
Vincent Alongi
Owner / Photographer
Vincent is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys the beaches of Long Island as well as the mountains of upstate New York. He finds enjoyment in the culture of New York’s magnificent city, as he has worked and played there for years. Learning from others about how they approach life is something that Vincent find gratifying… to step outside of himself and try to see the world through the eyes of others.
Dana Cavalieri
Makeup Artist
Dana is a Makeup Artist, Esthetician, and Lash Technician. Her work in this field allows her to be her most creative self, and gives her the opportunity to make people feel and look their best.
Her compassion for artistry started as soon as she could put pencil to paper. Once her love for drawing began, Dana’s confidence to explore different forms of art had sparked. Anything and everything was her canvas. As she continued to grow and learn, her appreciation for art only grew deeper. Even when doubted by her teachers and peers to fulfill these dreams, Dana still couldn’t stop herself from becoming the artist she always wanted to be.
Her favorite quote from Picasso is “Learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.” If Dana ever stopped believing in herself, she wouldn’t be the artist she is today.
Praxia Lin
Hair Stylist
Praxia is a fun, exciting person who enjoys life very much. She enjoys hiking, mindfulness, parties at home, chocolate cake and chocolate ice cream, family time with her children, and holidays. Hair has been a part of her ever since she can remember. It started with her Barbies and developed into something incredible. She really loves the confidence it gives her clients when they look their best.
Praxia chose boudoir because she is all about women empowerment. Nothing says empowered woman than being comfortable in the skin you’re in and loving every inch of it.
My Journey
I’m Vin, the guy behind Intimate Loop Boudoir. Since my younger days, art and the human form has been part of my daily life. I now apply that to creating a story and capturing emotion.
I have been a photographer with a heavy focus on modeling, fashion, portraiture and dance. I've since bridged over to the art of intimate boudoir photography. This specialization enables me to help tell someone's story through the use of light, body form and emotional expressions.
Having grown up under the tutelage of my father, an artist, I was raised to observe and appreciate the beauty and shape of the human form. To this day, I still have one of his old drawing figures. In fact, one of them is likely 40 years old! I understand that any art form can be used to convey much more of a story than what you see in a photograph, painting or sculpture. That’s why it is my job to capture the essence of the subject and their goals.
As photography is the study of light, I look to use the variation in light and shadow to shape the look and feel of your personal story. The session you experience and my approach is the culmination of years of study of the figure. For you, this is an intimate photo session. For me, it's further honing a style and look. This will result in something special for your photographs. No two photo sessions are the same. Every experience is unique.
Why Boudoir?
In deciding to photograph and create a boudoir story, it moves beyond a single image. It's about a narrative.
As I took on this genre and art form, I had questions of "why?" For men and women, there is a personal story everyone wants to tell... either for themselves or for a loved one. To break boundaries, express an artistic vision and explore inner beauty. There's a newfound feeling of self-love with an evolution; moving from a reserved mindset to playing the role in their own story.
Many women say, "Just make me look beautiful." At which point, I try to explain that they already are, but the reality is many still question themselves until they see their own images after a session. I consider myself fortunate every time I'm chosen to help usher clients through the creative process and see and hear their reactions when the reveal comes. So, when I step behind the camera lens I take the opportunity seriously as a chance to help show my clients their beauty while capturing their essence and story.
Reward Yourself
Understand your value and self-worth, then reward yourself with an experience where you can indulge in self-expression and stretch your boundaries. You will portray the private, intimate side of you. Grant yourself the right to be carefree in showing your romantic and sexy side. You can also share this with your special someone as a gift or reward as well.
If you are ready to love yourself expressively, boost your confidence and perform self care - Boudoir is the perfect solution for you.
